When creating your articles, you will find in Clevy OnDemand several fields you can use to create rich user experiences.
The main objective of these fields is to simplify the formatting while offering powerful possibilities to enhance the end-user experience. Each component will make sure to adapt your article to the interface it is used on, whether on your web Employee Portal, or in your Virtual Assistant.

How to add new Compontents:
You can decide to use the default "Text" field to start writing down your content or click on the blue button "Add a new block" to complement the text.
You will find a new menu displayed to the right, and you will be able to choose from different types of fields (also known as "Content blocks").
Discovering the Standard Components:
There are nine standard components in Clevy's Article editor. The standard components are the ones you will use the most and are mainly there to let you display content and media to the user.
Those components are:
Text: A rich text block in which you can add text, URLs, edit format, add images, and even link other articles from your Knowledge Base
Image: In addition to being able to add an image in one click from the text component, the image component will let you add an image from your file manager. Especially useful when you want the same image to be displayed in several articles and want to be able to update it once and from one place whenever it needs an update (from the file manager)
Audio: Display an audio file from an audio file URL (doesn't work with SoundCloud, works with Spotify and Deezer)
Video: Display a Video from a video URL (Vimeo, youtube or your own URL)
File: Display any kind of file as an attachment using the file manager. Especially useful when you want the same file to be displayed in several articles and want to be able to update it once and from one place whenever it needs an update (from the file manager)
Button to Article: Create a Button that will trigger another article.
In the Employee Portal, it will open the new article in another tab of your browser
In your Virtual Assistant, the article will be triggered as a new answer of the assistant inside the conversation flow
Carousel: Creates a carousel of different cards composed of an image, a title, and a description. You can also decide to:
Add a URL so that a click on the card will open that URL in a new window
Add a Button to Article inside the card to trigger another article
💡 Pro Tip: When you create a carousel component, it comes with 3 blank cards. You can update them, delete some of them or add some if you need more
Link: a URL component that will redirect the user to the targeted URL. You can add a title and description that will display on the component
💡 Pro Tip: You need to put either http:// or https:// for your URL to work
Business App: Business Apps are powerful native conversational integrations that will trigger integrated experiences with third-party software. Business Apps are most of the time in the form of "one use case"/"one software". For instance: "Take leave/Workday", "Generate Document/Formstack", "Translate text/Deepl". Business Apps are ways to unify access to your 3rd party solution ecosystem in one place, your Clevy OnDemand Employee Experience Platform. Those Apps will adapt to your Employee Portal and Virtual Assistant, and can be set up directly in the article section.
Transition Components
Transition components are helpful to give oxygen to your articles, whether viewed in the Employee Portal or in the Virtual Assistant. There are two types of transition components:
Separator: Draws a horizontal line between two components
Typing: ⛔️ Displays only in your Virtual Assistant
Groups Components (advanced) To be released in Q1 2023
Group components let you group different kinds of standard components together to display them at once rather than sequentially. There are three different types of group components.
Conditional Logic (advanced): To be released in Q1 2023
Contents Group: With the Contents Group block, you can group together multiple blocks of various types into a single block.
Content Slider: Present a list of contents in an elegant horizontal slider (Text, Image, Button to Article or LaTeX formula)
⛔️ When you update and save an article, it might take up to 2 minutes to replicate the change, which means that when you just created an article and try to preview it before those 2 minutes, you might have a 404 error in the Portal Preview and it might not appear in the Virtual Assistant Preview.
💡 Pro tips:
You can add several fields below another, and once they are created, you can move them so they appear in order.
For example, let's say you want to show an image first, then explain it with some text, and finally, show a procedure with a video. In this case, you could either use three different fields:
First, the "image" component
Then, the "text" component
Finally, the "video" component
Alternatively, you could create:
First, a text component inside of which you would display your image
Then, the "video" component
You can delete, duplicate and preview each content block individually.
